The first LACANET field trial took place in Kompong Thom province from 20th to 24th April 2015. The mission was the occasion for Wildlife Conservation Society, the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge, the Forestry Administration and the National Veterinary Research Institute to trial some of the rodent capture techniques, as well as other techniques, such as the vegetation assessment process. Sampling protocols were also trialed on captured rodents, before they were released. This operation was realised thanks to the financial support of the European Union.
